Internationl Folk Heritage fete from November 17
Banyan Tree will host its second edition of International Folk Heritage festival here on November 17 and 18 at Taramati Baradari.
This fest will showcase folk forms from India and the world. There will also be food, shopping and street folk performances.
Day 1 features Lions of Africa (Senegal), DolluKunitha (Karnataka), Tunes of the Dunes (Rajasthan), OlenaUutai (Yakutia, Russia) and Theyyam (Kerala) while the line-up for day 2 is Lions of Africa (Senegal) with ace percussionists of India GopiKhyapaBaul & group (West Bengal), TeraTaali (Rajasthan) and Jambili Folk Rock Band (Assam).
Pre-event performances are folk music and dance (Telengana), puppetry (Andhra Pradesh), TeraTaali (Rajasthan) and pottery.
This festival is supported by Tata Advanced Systems and Telangana Tourism. Tickets are priced at ₹350 for kids (2.5 to 15 years) and ₹500 for adults, a press note said.
